Global Public Health Institution GPHU has been set up to enhance Public Health Training worldwide, and to empower people, corporates, communities and leaders around the world with healthcare skills, in the post pandemic era.
The Global Public Health University GPHU is an offshoot of the LiveWell Initiative LWI Academy, an academic institution launched in Lagos Nigeria on February 10th 2011.
With 6 Faculties, the LWI Academy has trained thousands of candidates from all walks of life, in public health, health education and humanities courses.
The LWI Academy partners with the Harvard University, Boston USA, by training MPH and Dr PH Candidates in their Open Field Practicum, since 2016. The organisation also partners with Mayo Clinic Rochester USA, ERU University in Egypt, the Amref University Kenya (AHLMN Advanced Health Leadership Programme), Arap Moi University Kenya, and several Universities in Nigeria especially the Babcock University Ilishan, University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Adeleke University, University of Ibadan, Igbinedion University, University of Nigeria Nsukka, Covenant University among many others.
The GPHU is also an offshoot of the then Global Health Mini University run at the time by the USAID and the George Washington University USA, of which LiveWell Initiative LWI and LWI Academy, were active participants with a 3-man active participant Faculty.
The GPHU is a Virtual University with options of Hybrid participation, and onsite elective courses for those who may wish to have part of their course posting experience onsite; whereas remote postings will be run with Multimedia facilities.
The programmes are running well already, as they are aligned to the LWI Academy courses but the Academy cannot contain the Diplomas and Degree courses which are being run at the University.
We are commencing with one year Diplomas and One year Postgraduate Diplomas in Public Health.
Thank you.
